I think almost everyone scares the heck out of themselves before surgery. Yours will be fine and you'll come back as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. You'll be stunning, I just know it.

Hi, Leslie. I've been reading your diary for about a month now, and will take this opportunity to introduce myself. First off, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I'm glad things turned out positively for you. Secondly, my fiance and I have been on Jenny Craig for two months now, and are having consistently positive results. He, of course, being male, loses weight much faster than I do, but I'm losing weight steadily, which is a nice change of pace from the yo-yo thing I usually do on a diet. Anyway, we've found it helpful because it takes the guesswork out of planning meals, etc. It's so easy to cheat and kid yourself on programs like Weight Watchers "Oh, this piece of cake is probably only 3 points," etc. With Jenny Craig, there is not as much room to go off on an eating tangent, either. I won't lie to you, it is kind of expensive, but if you get a helpful counselor they should try to work within your budget. Good luck, Leslie, whatever you decide to do. I can't wait to see your "after" pictures. Kind regards, PlagueGirl

hi leslie. i have been reading your diary for a few weeks. i find your journey very inspirational. i was raised to believe that people are either male or feamle. they can't be both. and they can't switch. i have come to be fairly open-minded after attending a very liberal university. finding stories such as yours really opens my eyes and makes me a better & stronger person. thank you so much for sharing your story & day-to-day struggles with all of us! i respect you for having the courage to free yourself from social expectations. i respect you for wanting to be yourself, no matter the cost. i hope that you have everything in life that you ever dreamed of. you are an awesome, inspiring, interesting and beautiful WOMAN. i wish you all the best always! ~shrinkiniris

i just know you're going to look absolutely beautiful! i think at one point or another, we all need some sort of surgery. this is your choice, and i think THAT is the very thing that demands respect from the rest of us. remember that your decision is yours alone, bearing in mind everything about you that we don't know... which means that it must be for the best any way it goes. my best wishes and most sincere prayers are with you. -Amineh
