I like this guy's comment on the jesus movie: http://www.craigslist.org/sfc/rnr/25150846.html I'm going to wait until the congregations are no longer going because I know i'll get in trouble if they are in the same theater as myself.

Now I'm thinking I'll wait until I can rent the thing on netflix to check it out. Then I had to reread the last part...$11 for a bargain matinee? Wow. I thought seeing a movie in the evening at $10 a pop was bad. Sheesh :)

I couldn't help but roar with laughter when you wrote about laughing and the beating you yourself may have gotten!

I agree with your review. Way over the top. Sorry, but he would have died from blood loss way before the was made to carry the cross. Like one other diaryist said, Read the book and don't rely on the "Gospel according to Mel".

I realise this is somewhat belated, but I noticed your note in the guestbook of kummov.diaryland.com. Just to inform you, should you still be interested, that the diary's owner moved to kumav.diaryland.com a while back. I'm not sure the page is still updating, but on the offchance that this is helpful information, there you go.

GREAT commentary, especially the part about the caning. and the poet by a mailbox in seattle. do visit in connecticut, dear. our sunday bargain matinees are only $5. (and some theaters have "kids' meals" with kid size popcorn, soda in a harry potter cup, and sour candy dessert for another $5)
