Samantha Runnion, her family and her friends who have lost a beautiful child and a treasure, and all of us, who became a little less human when the worst of us committed this brutal act of hate, control and twisted, terrible lust. He killed every one of us a little bit when he killed this innocent spirit utterly.
Tomorrow or the next day, we will all go back to our own problems, frustrations and personal pain, but just for now, let's quit reading each other's diaries and spend some time remembering Samantha and the thousands of other guiltless children who fall prey to the ravening animals in our midst.
