Ms Leslie endures
Just in case you have so little going on in your own life that you�re still following mine, here is an update:
We got all the trim tiles cut and we've grouted the main bedroom and back hallway. It was so exhausting, crawling on the hard floor, wiping grout first on and then off, that we felt we deserved a treat. So we went to Tres Amigos for a shrimp fajita (and a giant margarita for me). I like Tres Amigos. The waiters never fail to call me �amiga�, and their shrimp fajita is great. They sell magaritas in several sizes up to 64 ounces. That�s a half gallon if I remember my grade school math.
Of course I drank too much. Ann can�t see to drive at night, so she let her youngest son, Phil, drive home on his learner�s permit. It�s nothing but a testament to the fortifying strength of Mexican tequila that I was able to remain calm for that ride.
Once I got home, I didn�t pass �go� or collect my $200.00 I went right to bed and slept until 2 am. Back to bed at 4:30 and slept again until almost 7.
Today I hope we can grout the two remaining bedrooms and maybe part of the kitchen/dining room. Well both be overjoyed to finish this phase.. but then we�ll need to move on and lay tile in the living room, front hallway and back bathroom. Overall, this job is still less than half done if you add in cutting, painting and installing wooden trim around the rooms. And she still wants to paint all the walls and cabinets.. and install a new sink/counter in the back bathroom.
The upside to all this is that when I work hard, I can eat more. In fact, I HAVE to eat more. I�ve lost six pounds on a diet of junk food for breakfast and pizza for lunch. I do like that.
